“YOUR FIRST AND FOREMOST PRIORITY”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Yeshua got up, left, went away to a lonely spot and stayed there praying.” (Mark 1:35)
The next morning, Jesus got up long before daylight, left the house while it was dark, and made his way to a secluded place to give himself to prayer.
FIRST AND FOREMOST PRIORITY
Jesus knew the importance of being alone with God. The Bible records that He took time off His ministry to spend time with God in the morning (Mark 1:35), evening (Mark 6:46-47), to be alone with God (Luke 5:16), and spend the whole night in prayer (Luke 6:12).
In Gethsemane, Jesus came to the disciples and found them sleeping and He said to Peter, “What! Are you so utterly unable to stay awake and keep watch with Me for one hour?” (Matthew 26:40).
This is the question Jesus Christ is asking you today.
Beloved, are you so caught up with the things of this world, until your body is weak and tired that you cannot even stay awake in the presence of the Lord for a little while?
Reading the Bible and praying are not among the first priorities in your life for you are busy with a whole lot of other things.
The highly respected job, position, well placed children, extensively done up house, they will all be nothing if in your whole lifetime you have no time to seek the face of the Lord in prayer and search the scriptures in truth.
Many of those things you consider so important to you now will mean nothing when your desire and longing is set upon the Lord, to know Him better and love Him more.
Arise and re-organize your life before it is too late dear brother and sister. “My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God.” Let this be your deep thirst.
Be unceasing in prayer. Praying and perseveringly, Thanking God in everything, no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks for this is the will of God for you who are in Christ Jesus the Revealer and Mediator of that will.
Somebody shout a loud, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
