“PROSPECTS OF DELEGATION AND SUPERVISION IN MINISTRY!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“If you do this — and God is directing you to do it — you will be able to endure; and all these people too will arrive at their destination peacefully.” (Exodus 18:23)
If you will do this, and God so commands you, you will be able to endure the strain, and all these people also will go to their tents in peace.
PROSPECTS OF DELEGATION AND SUPERVISION IN MINISTRY
(Exodus 18:21-23 / Isaiah 60:22 / Matthew 13:31-32 / Acts 6:1-7)
There are benefits in delegating and supervising the work in the church.
i) Delegation and supervision of responsibilities in the ministry would afford the leader the opportunity to concentrate on higher and heavier aspects of the work as well as making way for greater success. (Acts 6:4, 7)
ii) Latent and unassuming talents in the subordinates will be discovered.
iii)The gifted ones, who would have become critics get involved and make contributions for the progress of the work and in turn become staunch allies.
iv) Problems of disaffection emerging from neglect and inadequate attention are nipped in the bud. (Acts 6:1)
v) More able hands and future leaders are gradually groomed. (Acts 6:7-8)
vi) Some self-imposed tasks, which the pastor may lack the skill and ability to do can be done better by others with greater experience and capability.
vii) Division of responsibility is enhanced through delegation which in turn promotes greater output and wider coverage and attention. (Acts 6:7)
viii) Greater work can be done through delegation within a short period.
ix) Longevity of the pastor’s life, members’ lives and service is enhanced. (Acts 18:23)
Every believer is ultimately responsible for his or her own conscience.
Shalom and good morning.
