HOW YOU CAN BE A SPIRITUAL GIANT (CONT’D)

SANCTIFICATION – AN INDISPENSABLE EXPERIENCE FOR BECOMING A SPIRITUAL GIANT
(John 17:17 / Ezekiel 36:26 / Deutoronomy 30:6 / 1 Peter 1:15-16)

At salvation, the blood of Jesus washes us from all outward sin but inbred sin still remains.
This is the Adamic nature which we inherited from Adam.
This nature is the root of sin and if it is not removed, the tendency to sin remains within us.
In our inward life, especially in our thoughts, this tendency can easily defile us.

Sanctification is the second work of grace and it is a must for all heaven bound pilgrims.
Sanctification is also called purity, holiness or circumcision of the heart etc.
These refer to the removal of Adamic nature in human which can only be done by God. (Deutoronomy 30:6)

Holiness of life is important because without it, no one can see God (Hebrews 12:14).
It is therefore indispensable that everyone has to get it at all costs.
We must have a strong desire, for this experience (Psalms 42:1-2 / 73:25-26 / Matthew 5:6).

There must be a total separation from the world and its attractions or allurement (2 Corinthians 6:17 / Ephesians 5:11).
There must be also entire consecration of our lives (Romans 12:1-2 / James 4:7).
We must pray for it and believe it is done (James 1:6-7 / Mark 11:22-24).
