“THE DIVINE CALL AND OUR RESPONSE”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For Adonai Elohim will help. This is why no insult can wound me. This is why I have set my face like flint, knowing I will not be put to shame. My vindicator is close by; let whoever dares to accuse me appear with me in court! Let whoever has a case against me step forward……” (Isaiah 50:7-9)
The Adonai Yahweh empowers me, so I am not humiliated. For that reason, with holy determination, I will do his will and not be ashamed. The One who makes me righteous is close to me. Who would dare challenge me now? Who would be my opponent?
Let him stand before me! Who is my accuser? Let him confront me! It is the Lord Yahweh who empowers me; who would condemn me? My accusers will all fade away like worn-out, moth-eaten clothes.
THE DIVINE CALL AND OUR RESPONSE
One with God is a majority. A Christian is free but not free to sin.
It costs nothing to become a Christian, but it costs everything to be a Christian.
A Christian should aspire to do the will of God, nothing more, nothing less and nothing else.
Our Almighty God has different ways of calling His servants.
In the bible, one can easily see that God used different methods to reach out to different individuals in their respective calling.
TEN BIBLICAL EXAMPLES
- Abraham was called by God through a divine visitation (Genesis 12:1-5, 7).
- Joseph was called by God through a divine dream (Genesis 37:5-11).
- Moses the prophet of God was called by God through an audible voice in a burning bush (Exodus 3:1-12).
- Aaron was called by God through his brother Moses (Exodus 4:13-17).
- Joshua the assistant of Moses was called by God through Moses (Exodus 17:9-15).
- Gideon was called by God through an angel (Judges 6:11-17).
- Samuel was called by God through God’s audible voice (1 Samuel 3:4-13).
- David was called by God through Prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 16:1, 10-13).
- Paul was called by God through a vision encounter on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:1-6).
- Timothy was called by God through the preaching of Paul the Apostle and also by Timothy’s godly upbringing (1 Timothy 1:1-2 / 2 Timothy 1:1-2, 5).
Remember, the divine call of God Most High upon your life is irrevocable in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Somebody shout a resounding, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
