“WALK IN THE SPIRIT FOR THE GLORY OF THE LORD MOST HIGH!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For you used to be darkness; but now, united with the Lord, you are light. Live like children of light, for the fruit of the light is in every kind of goodness, rightness, and truth — try to determine what will please the Lord…” (Ephesians 5:8-12)
Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with Him. Our mission is to live as children flooded with his revelation-light! And the supernatural fruits of his light will be seen in you—goodness, righteousness, and truth.
Then you will learn to choose what is beautiful to our Lord. Don’t even associate with the servants of darkness because they have no fruit in them; instead, reveal truth to them. The very things they do in secret are too vile and filthy to even mention.
Paul the Apostle, through the foreknowledge of the Spirit, foretold during his time saying, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrine of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2).
The good Lord places a very high premium on the quality of our Christian life. He does not want us to chase shadows to the exclusion of faith, righteousness, consistency, godliness, and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
Many are fast forgetting what will guarantee their entrance into the kingdom of God.
We need to walk in the Spirit and do the will of God to qualify for Heaven. Israel’s departure from Egypt to Canaan is symbolic of a sinner’s liberation from bondage of sin and Satan.
As they needed to consistently follow the pillar of the cloud and of fire in order to get to the Promised Land, a believer also needs to walk in the Spirit to guarantee a successful pilgrimage to reach Heaven.
If any of the Israelites had stayed by the Red Sea, fascinated by the spectacular event, not knowing that the spectacular has its own place and time, and had refused to walk by faith and the leading of the pillar, that Israelite would still be lost even though he or she was saved from Egypt.
As a believer, if you are saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit, walk in the Spirit so as not to fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
Worldly practices bring guilt, condemnation, and judgment.
LET’S WALK IN THE SPIRIT IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!
Shalom and good morning.
