“OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD BRINGS MANIFOLD BLESSINGS”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“However, Adonai let loose over the sea a violent wind, which created such stormy conditions that the ship threatened to break to pieces. The sailors were frightened, and each cried out to his god……” (Jonah 1:4-5).

Adonai Yahweh unleashed a powerful, violent wind on the sea. The ship was caught in such a great tempest that it was in jeopardy of shattering. The sailors were terrified. Each of them began to call on his own god for help. In order to lighten the ship they hurled the cargo and tackle overboard. Jonah, however, had gone down below and lain down in the hold and was fast asleep.

If we disobey God, trouble can come not only upon us but also on our family. If a spouse backslides and departs from God, such an act can spell a doom on their household.

If a pastor ignores the leading of the Holy Spirit, his act of disobedience can bring calamity upon his congregation. If a business partner goes contrary to the word of God, such an act can lead to the utter ruin or collapse of a joint venture.

Since our action or inaction may get others into trouble, we need to be careful of what we do.
In Jonah’s case, he was the architect of the sailor’s horrifying experience. Alarmed, the sailors initially tried to steer the ship to safety, but when they could not, they demanded solution from Jonah (Jonah 1:12-15).

A good thing Jonah did was to offer the solution. And truly, as soon as this instruction was carried out, calmness returned to the stormy sea. There is a great lesson to learn from the incident of Jonah.

Beloved, if you want a quick solution to your problem, get rid of the cause. If you do not want to suffer lung cancer, then get rid of smoking.
If you do not want to contract HIV Aids, then stop fornication and unnecessary casul sexual activity.

If you want to be free from loan shark problems, then get rid of impulsive buying and improper financial expenditure. If you do not want to be harassed, humiliated and afflicted by the demons, then get rid of occultic engagement and prayerlessness.

If you are being attacked and afflicted by demons and spiritual forces, then do something about the covenant you had made with these demons while you are an unbeliever. Break all affiliations with the demonic world and renounce the hidden things of dishonesty.

OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE!
