“SPIRITUAL PICTURE OF MARRIAGE!”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“He replied, ‘Haven’t you read that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and that he said, “For this reason a man should leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two are to become one flesh……..”‘” (Matthew 19:4-6)

Haven’t you read the Scriptures about creation? Jesus replied. The Creator made us male and female from the very beginning, and For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and live with his wife.

And the two will become one flesh. From then on, they are no longer two, but united as one. So what God unites let no one divide!

SPIRITUAL PICTURE OF MARRIAGE
Everything that is said so far is no doubt preventive. Those whose marriages are already broken up or are on the verge of a break up, desperately need curative measures, especially those prescribed in the Word of God.

While the works of the flesh break up lives and marriages, the fruit of the Spirit0 mends lives and marriages (Galatians 5:22-23).

What does it mean to love the family? The properties of love describe how love functions. Love is unselfish; it is sacrificial, kind and tender.(Ephesians 4:32). Out of a tender, loving heart proceeds kind and tender words which forgives offences.

Offences in marriage are inevitable. When they threaten the marriage union, forgiveness is the glue that binds couples together whereas grudges and malice are the stones which smash up marriages.
Forgiveness is the cord that binds a couple together and mends broken relationships.

The secret to a successful and happy home lies in following the blueprint of God; cleaving together through thick or thin, praying together and living together a life of selfless and sacrificial love and fellowship.

May the Lord bless you as you take heed of your actions towards your marriage union in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
