Dearly Beloved in the Lord,

We are all excited about the Church Camp 2026. We are excited to travel overseas. We are excited to have a variety of delicious food. We are excited to spend time with close friends and family. We are excited to go shopping. We are excited for the fun that we will be having. But the big question is: How many of us are excited and can say to ourselves: “Yes. I am excited to go for this camp believing that there will be changes happening to me so that I am more faithful, more true, more honest, more loving, more obedient to the word of God and His voice. I look forward to coming back with a change in my attitude, behaviour, outlook, perception, heart and thinking. I look forward for better serving the Lord. I look forward for greater love for the word, worship, prayer and outreach.”

In this the sixth month of flesh and man, some of you need to make this your prayer: “Break me, melt me, mould me and fill me Lord! Crush all the wickedness, rebelliousness, disobedience, backsliding, unfaithfulness and unwillingness to yield to You Lord. Burn everything that is of the work of the flesh and evil in me Lord. I desperately need a turn around and I want to be fully surrendered, yielded and belonging 100 percent to You, Lord. I am coming to this camp with a heart of longing and desire for You to touch me, touch areas in my life that displease You so there is a change. I am aware that it will be painful, bringing death to my old self and will require discipline in this life that I am living. I am really tired of this rat race, this hopeless life that I am living, this wild meaningless life of mine and I need a change desperately. I am coming to this camp with a willing mind and heart to change Lord. I long for You, Your presence, joy and peace in my life and for a fresh new relationship to be established with You. Hear this my heart cry and my prayer and speak to me, touch me and change me Lord.”

It will be almost four days of wasted time if you go for the church camp and leave just the way you came, with no iota of change except maybe only criticism about the food, rooms, air-con, roommate etc. Four precious days could change the whole direction of your life if you gave room and surrendered to the Lord! 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Beloved, come near to God in this camp with a heart of repentance, humbling yourself, before the Lord who is your Creator and Maker. The Lord has a divine assignment for you if you heed, pay attention, listen and run to Him. Seek the face of the Lord, repent with your full heart, expect great changes, believe and trust the Lord, the faithful God to speak with you and do a great work in you at this Church Camp. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
