Dearly Beloved in the Lord,
David knew what it was to walk through chaos and trouble. He had enough in his life! Anointed to be king, yet he was chased by king Saul who was after his life! In Psalm 138, vs 7 he said this: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.” And with confidence he could say in vs 8, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” because he knew that the Lord would work out, establish and bring to pass the change needed in his life situation.
Peter the disciple of Jesus saw Jesus walking on the water and had said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” He responded to Jesus’ invitation, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased (Matthew 14:23-33). The Lord of heaven and earth walking into your life will cause the storms and troubles of life to cease. For it to happen you need to call upon the Lord with a true heart. When was the last time you turned to the Lord God seeking Him with all your heart? When did you turn to Him with true repentance in your heart? When did you confess your sins Him asking Him forgiveness? In this world of attractions and distractions we need to determine to choose rightly. In this world which steals our time we need to save our precious time spending it in His presence and for His kingdom. For when we make Him first in our lives we can be confident “… that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (Philippians 1:6)” Often people have the mind-set that it is the Lord who brings trouble into their lives. The Lord has only good plans for you. He promised, “Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you!
I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isaiah 6:4). He never has plans to break your bones or destroy you. Evil comes from the devil when we give him room. But let this be your life-line to which you always hold on: “ I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me” (Isaiah 57:2) for “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
Trust in the Lord to perfect that which concerns you for His glory in Jesus’ name, Amen!
In the blessed love of Jesus,
