“Become complete, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace be with you” (2 Corinthians 13:11).

Dear Beloved,

The world that we are living in is bereft of peace, not because the Almighty, in His divine capacity, has engineered trouble for us, but it is because Satan and his hosts have done so.

All believers know what the holy Bible says in Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Therefore, whatever the devil plans against us will turn out for our good. The Almighty God makes a way of escape from all attacks. “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13). There must be good reasons therefore, where God allows the Christian to suffer. With some divine insight, we should be like Apostle Paul to perceive our troubles as “light afflictions which is but for a moment”. At the end, as it was with Job so it will be with us. “And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10). There is blessing in overcoming.

We must always see all things as working out for our good. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). All the trials, afflictions and testing that you go through is to train you to be a good Christian. It is not to crush you but to make you stronger.
