Beloved Saints of God,
Our heavenly Father longs to manifest His grace in us and through us. He longs to reveal Himself to us. God is more than ready to bless, to fill, to ignite and to anoint us more than we desire to receive. But are we ready? Are we hungry, thirsty and desperate for God to awaken us for revival? Are we giving ourselves no rest and giving God no rest as His watchmen to pray, intercede and stand in the gap for His visitation? – Isaiah 62:6-7.
Revival begins in the SECRET PLACE OF GOD MOST HIGH (Psalm 91). “When you pray, go into your room and pray to your Father who is in the secret place and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly” (Matthew 6:6). It is important to partner with our Lord Jesus to see revival and awakening be released into our Church based on His prayer in Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Prayer is the absolute prerequisite for revival. It stems from an intense hunger and desire for God.
Revival is a product of the WORD OF GOD taking root in our lives. Faith springs up in our hearts when we hear God’s Word and meditate on it (Romans 10:17, Joshua 1:8). Revival will manifest as we allow the fire of God’s Word to burn the impurities of our sins of unbelief, disobedience, lusts and pride. Jesus taught us that His Word is a seed that produces thirty, sixty and a hundredfold (Mark 4:8), when nurtured in the hearts and lives of His followers. The greatest promise God ever made began as a SEED.
Revival is GOD’S ARRIVAL. When we think about it, we talk about salvation, signs, wonders, miracles and crowded churches. All these are awesome but true revival is not some “thing” to be pursued; it is some “ONE” we pursue.
It comes when the KING OF GLORY enters a church or fellowship and is allowed to be ENTHRONED with ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY and REVERENCE. God resists the proud, but He gives GRACE to the HUMBLE (James 4:6-8). Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded (Psalm 24:4-6). Remember, revival does not simply come to a place but comes to a person’s heart. Be a GOD-CHASER! A desperate desire for more of God will pull us out of our COMFORT ZONE.
Shalom in Jesus’ love,
