Dearly Beloved in the Lord,

From my childhood years, I have many memories of going to the house of God, church, the dwelling place of God on Sundays. When I accepted the Lord Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of my life, church was a totally new world, though everything was still the same outside. It was in the house of God that I first studied the Bible in greater depth, listened to men and women share the word of God, learnt to sing songs and hymns (many of which I treasure much), learnt to pray and to serve the Lord. It was in church that the Lord revealed to me His great love for me in a special way and where I found the answer to the purpose of my life: “The reason I live is to worship You.” I could never think of missing church for something else then or even now. I gave my heart to the Lord I also gave my life to Him and prayed that I would be able to live a life of serving Him all my days. And it did come to pass when the Lord answered my prayer giving me a husband totally dedicated and sold out to the Lord, His House and His kingdom!
Sunday is the Lord’s day, to go to His House for a special appointment with Him! In the book of Leviticus twice the Lord commands us, “You shall keep My sabbaths and revere My sanctuary; I am the Lord” (Leviticus 19:30) and again in Leviticus 26:2.
It’s a day to gather together with and as “family” and love the Lord our Father, worship Jesus and yield ourselves to the working of the Holy Spirit. It’s a time of honouring Him in a special way, loving and adoring Him. It is His desire that we all be in His House as one and He promises to be there in our midst when we do so. It’s important on Sunday to come to the House of the Lord with reverence, with expectation for great miracles, divine, supernatural touch of the Lord God, divine intervention in your life circumstances for which your heart has been crying out. Come believing that your prayers are heard and answered, and the answers are on the way. Come with excitement that you are coming to the Lord’s House, His holy presence, to be filled with joy, overflowing with thanks, praise and worship. There is not a better place to be in than the House of God and when you commit yourself, make every sacrifice to fulfil this without giving room to laziness, slumbering or activities of the world however tempting, enticing and captivating it is and you will be blessed. As you honour the Lord, He will honour you and stand by you, bless, prosper and bring victory and success into your life. Do not take it as something lightly but obey the Lord who has told us to honour His Sabbath, and His House. Remember this His word: “Now do not stiffen your neck like your fathers, but yield to the Lord and enter His sanctuary which He has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, that His burning anger may turn away from you” 2 Chronicles 30:8.
You may not realise but when you come, yielding your heart, soul and mind to the Lord, He will empower and equip you for days that you may not be ready. For in the day of trouble and challenge, the Spirit of the Lord will bring back a word, a phrase, an encouragement from your visit to the Lord’s house and build up your failing heart. Your faithfulness to the Lord and His House may avert a danger, a disaster, evil coming your way and the anger of God.
May this be your decision forever: “Let us go into His dwelling place; Let us worship at His footstool” Psalms 132:7. When you make it a habit, your children will do so and their children and your generation will continue.
As you make a stand for the Lord, to come to His House every week, “May He send you help from the sanctuary, And support you from Zion!” Psalms 20:2. Hallelujah! Amen!
