Dearly Beloved in the Lord,
“He is Risen! He is not here!” A young man clothed in a long white robe sitting in the tomb on the right side said to the women, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome. They had come bringing spices with them very early in the morning when the sun had risen, on the first day of the week to anoint the dead body of Jesus who had been crucified. They had a big question in their mind: who would roll away the stone from the tomb for them because a large big stone had been rolled across the door of the tomb and it was sealed and made very secure by Pilate who also set guards at the tomb. He had taken these extra security measures as the Pharisees and the chief priests had warned him that the disciples of Jesus would steal away the body of Jesus. Mary Magdalene and Mary was there on the day Jesus was laid in the tomb because they had been sitting opposite the tomb and watching the scene. And now the question was on their minds. On the way to the tomb they then may have discussed about what they would do, the means and solutions to the huge stone issue, whom they should call to help them with the great big stone at the entrance etc. They would have done this because they did not know that the Lord Jesus had risen from the dead. So often we are like that. But our case in worse because now we know the grave is empty. The Lord Jesus is risen from the dead. Death could not keep Him!
With power and victory He reigns at the right hand of God, continuously interceding for us. Yet we don’t submit our troubles to Him. Instead we stress ourselves out trying to figure out solutions to removing the big tomb stones out of our lives! Rejoice Brethren! Jesus is risen! The victorious Lord, our Redeemer, Saviour, Deliverer, has purchased us with His blood. We belong to Him. His victory has brought victory for us, so we can stand against principalities, powers, and all powers of the enemy and have all power and authority over them in Jesus’s mighty name! Hallelujah our preaching is not empty, our faith is not empty. We are no more guilty or in our sin because we have been forgiven. We too will be resurrected, we will live forever with the Lord. Our loved ones and we will be raised from the dead and we will live with the Lord for all eternity! Hallelujah! Thank You Lord!
In the blessed love of Jesus,
