Dearly Beloved in the Lord,
The theme for this year is faithfulness in serving the Lord. Let us look to the Lord who is our Faithful God. What does the bible tell us about the Lorłd, our faithful God?

Deuteronomy 7:9 tells us: “the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments….” The emphasis is on “the” faithful God. He is the one and only God and He is the faithful God, there is no other. Everyone else is unfaithful and undependable. How much we take the Lord our God and His faithfulness for granted! Do we recognise His faithfulness in keeping us His beloved children safe each day? Do we recognise His provision for us? There are many hungry and starving. You and me have been blessed with food. How many of us care to say a “thank you” prayer to the Lord for providing us food? Sometimes at home we may, but in the public? Many are ashamed to be found thanking the Lord for the food especially amidst unbelievers. When we open the tap at home or even in the public we are greatly blessed with a continuous flow of water. Do we thank the Lord for water for drinking, bathing, washing clothes, kitchen use etc.? No if not rarely!

When there is a sale or online so many purchase clothes and other items. Do we thank the Lord that there is provision for all these? Let us turn our hearts to the Lord our faithful God who provides our daily needs. Every day we face all kinds of dangers. In and outside of the home. Fires, accidents, falls, scams, betrayals etc. all which are the evil schemes of the enemy. 2 Thess 3:3 tells us: *“…the Lord is faithful and
He will protect and shield you from the evil one.”* Do we remember to call upon the Lord and seek His mercy and protection over our lives? How do we make it a part of our lives? By daily talking to the Lord. For those who don’t know what to say exactly, pray along the verses of “Psalm 23” or the “Our Father” (Matt. 6:9-13) which the Lord taught His disciples on how to pray. Expand it to pray over the members of your family. Teach family members to “put on the armour of God” found in Ephesians 6:10-20. Hide in the name of the Lord who is a strong tower of safety (Prov. 18:10). Remember the victory the Lord Jesus has won for us and enforce it over our lives (Col 2:13-15). “Great is Your faithfulness” the Bible tells us in Lamentations 3:23b. No one can even comprehend the faithfulness of the Lord our God. May we learn to be grateful, thankful and faithful to honour the Lord our faithful God, the faithful God. AMEN!

In the blessed love of Jesus,

Sister Elizabeth Daniel
