Beloved brethren,

Take Heed Of Worldly Love
The common prevalent slogan in the world today is: “How much do you make?”, “How much do you have?”, “What kind of car do you possess?” and “Where do you live?” To summarise it all, they are asking: “What are your possessions?” Well, I really thank the Lord for His grace for us to possess possessions but brethren, let not “possession possess us”.

1 John 2:15-17 exhorts Christians not to be sold out in craving for possession of material things, for the Bible says that where our treasure is, there also our hearts will be. Let us build up for ourselves treasures in heaven where moth cannot destroy. Do not be mistaken that I am against any child of God from having possessions. My emphasis is that any child of God who has received grace from God to possess possessions should always remember to keep God first instead of letting possessions to rule them.

Many believers today have gone astray because of wealth possession. They have made wealth possessions and money to be their god. Money is not evil but the love and craving for it is the root of all evil. Trees of success and progress grow fastest, strongest and are the most fruitful on the soil of love.

God wants us to see Him through love. Tell the Lord that it is your desire to see Him through love. Ask God to help you to change your selfish mindset. Let Him create you anew – a new spirit to love as God loves. The love of God gives before it receives. Here is the opportunity for you to operate in love by showing hospitality to those who are not as blessed as you are. The highest level of Christian living is the application of God’s Word. How much you put the Word of God into practice is dependent upon your obedience towards it.
