Dear Beloved,

There are principles that we need to adopt when we are giving unto the Lord. The time of giving to the Lord is not a time of taboo as many people feel, but it is a time of blessing – a time to lift up the name of the Lord. It is also a time of rejoicing that we are able to give unto the Lord and be a part of His divine plan.There are many Christians who are called to be end-time financiers to support in finance towards the extension of God’s kingdom. If you have been called, be faithful.

Apostle Paul gave a detailed and significant teaching concerning the principles of grace giving of the believers in the book of 2 Corinthians 8 & 9. Through these Scriptures, it is evident that one of the many blessings of the church of Macedonia is the “grace of giving”. They were enthusiastic in responding to the needs of their fellow saints at Jerusalem. Therefore, any contemporary church would do well to consider carefully Paul’s specific principles for stewardship in giving for the work of the Lord.

The true basis for grace giving was discovered by the exemplary believers in Macedonia. How is this shown? They first gave themselves to the Lord before they gave their money. Beloved saints, if anyone would first give himself or herself to Jesus, he or she will not have any problem with generous financial giving. We are to recognise and acknowledge that all we are, and all we have is a blessing of God’s grace. In view of this, we must always give generously, willingly, sacrificially and supernaturally due to our love for Christ Jesus.
