Dearly Beloved,

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” the Lord Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 AMPC. “Come to Me” the Lord is calling. A simple call to which anyone can respond. An open invitation irrespective of who we are, whatever our need be or whenever the hour is and wherever we are! A clear call to come. Nicodemus came to Jesus with questions at night and found answers. Zacchaeus climbed to tree to only see Jesus but when he answered the call to come down he was a changed man! The men of Samaria who responded to the woman who had encountered Jesus at the well, came to Him and received salvation. 12 disciples answered the call to come and were changed and changed the whole world. Even those who were dragged to Jesus to be punished went back set free (the condemned adulterous woman in John 8).

When Lazarus had died, Jesus was on the way to the tomb. When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet Jesus. Later she told Mary her sister, “The Teacher has come and is calling for you.” The Bible tells us in John 11:29, that as soon as Mary heard this, she arose quickly and came to Jesus. Jesus is calling for you. What is your response? Daily do you come to Him? Is this your first response? Is that a quick response? Do you find it easy to readily come to Jesus without being pushed? He is the Lord! He has the answers! He holds your future! He is waiting! Come to Jesus! Come for a refreshing! Come for rest! Come for your miracle! Come for a healing! Come for His touch of power! Come and be set free from yokes and bondages! Come for His peace! Come be renewed in your walk! Come receive His love! Come daily! Come drink of the living waters! Come eat of the bread of life! Come receive fresh life! Come find your purpose! Come! Come kiss Him with your praises! Come bless Him with your offerings! Come worship Him! Run to Him! Come, run to Him! Is Jesus your last option? Or Is He your first choice to run to, the One whom you surrender and submit your decisions first to? Not only for your salvation but run daily to Jesus! Come, run first to Him!
When Jesus was upon the earth, the Jews were seeking to kill Him, accusing Him of blasphemy and so refused to come to Him (John 5.40). They were busy analysing the Scriptures, frantically poring over them in hopes of gaining eternal life. Everything they were reading was pointing to the Lord Jesus yet they stubborly refused to come to Jesus and receive the eternal life. Are you stubbornly resisting coming to Jesus because you think that you can make it in life with your own thinking skills, finances, abilities, power, position and fame? You will only perish and die without the life in Jesus. Run today to Jesus! Come to Him the giver of life!
