“WE MUST AVOID THE SPIRIT OF JAUNDICE”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“So if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God. Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth……..” (Colossians 3:1-3)
If then you have been raised with Christ to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead, aim at and seek the rich, eternal treasures that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds and keep them set on what is above the higher things, not on the things that are on the earth. For as far as this world is concerned, you have died, and your new, real life is hidden with Christ in God.
WE MUST AVOID THE SPIRIT OF JAUNDICE
Personality has the power to open many doors, but character is what keeps them open.
Reputation is what people say we are, but character is what God knows of us.
Life is a comedy to a thinker and a tragedy to an emotional but victory to a believer.
We must avoid jealousy (Proverb 27:4 / James 3:13-16).
Jealousy leads to distrustfulness and dubiousness. Jealousy produces the spirit of jaundice.
We must not gossip or listen to gossip (Proverbs 26: 20-26 / 11:13).
We must not meddle in other people’s matters. Do not be an uninvited guest to other people’s family problems (Proverbs 26:17-19).
We must give God’s word priority (Psalm 119:97-103).
We must defeat Satan’s wickedness with God’s word.
We must realize the authority and power in God’s word.
We must minister with compassion, unconditional love and acceptance, and speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:25).
We must always remember that what God has for us is unprecedented (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).
We must not bring a case against a believer to the court of law without first going to the saints (1 Corinthians 6:1-3).
A Christian couple (husband and wife) must not deprive each other of their necessary physical needs unless there are health issues or because spiritual matters like fasting (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).
We must not seek only our own interests but other people’s well-being too (1 Corinthians 10:23-24).
We must pursue love and also desire spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 14:1).
Remember, we may be cast down but unconquered (2 Corinthians 4:7-10).
We must always see the invisible so as to do the impossible (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
We must walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
We must not do anything to bring reproach to the ministry (2 Corinthians 6:3).
Everybody shout, “HELP ME LORD GOD!”
Sabbath shalom and good morning.
