BELOVED, BE A VESSEL OF HONOUR FOR GOD’S GLORY

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, stamped with these words: ‘The Lord knows his own,’ and, ‘Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord stand apart from wrongdoing.’ In a large house, there are dishes and pots not only of gold and silver but also of wood and clay…” (2Tim 2:19-21)

But the firm foundation laid by God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal and inscription: The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names himself by the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it.

But in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also utensils of wood and earthenware and some for honourable and noble use and some for menial and ignoble use.

So whoever cleanses himself from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences will then himself be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.

BEING A VESSEL IN GOD’S HAND

The Lord our God is gracious and faithful to impart into us those virtues possessed by God’s vessels.
To be a vessel in God’s hands, we must be a people of:

  • Secret Prayer
To be successful as a working person and strike a balance in our daily activities as they come, we need to be people of bended knees who know how to contact heaven through prayer.

  • Purity
This implies that our lives must be characterised by holiness. “Depart! Depart! Go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst from her, be clean, you who bear the vessels of the LORD” (Isaiah 52:11).

  • Supernatural Power
We need this quality of power to withstand any situation and to overcome the devil with the authority of our faith in our community and among colleagues.

  • Strong Persuasion
We must be stable in doctrine and satisfied with the revelation of God’s word.

  • Biblical Preaching
We must be people of the word of God, able to rightly divide the word of truth as we are taught.

  • Saintly Purpose
Our single ambition must be to please God in all things and at all times.

  • Spiritual Perception
We must be able to understand what the will of the Lord is and know when to do or say things.

  • Sound Principles
Our guiding rules and conduct must be scripturally based.

Be alert vessels in God’s hands in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Everybody shout, “SO HELP ME LORD!

Sabbath shalom and good morning.
