“LET YESHUA BE YOUR TRUE SECURITY IN ALL THINGS!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For the love of money is a root of all the evils; because of this craving, some people have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves to the heart with many pains” (1Timothy 6:10).
For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute mental pangs.
FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY
Material things have a way of bringing a false sense of security and pride into us.
Have you noticed that when you wear a new set of clothes that really look good on you with an appropriate new set of attractive footwear, you feel taller, more confident, and walk brisker. Or if you own a new car, and someone admires it, your head feels so high up in the air.
How long can you carry on in the security of what you have? Or in the pride of life of where you live? What really has never sunk into your heart is that none of these things are going to help your lost soul.
You may have a lot of money that is all “your own” because you worked hard for it.
If you think you can do what you want, spend it on whoever you like, buy whatever your heart desires, and live loosely without any restraint, then you are in trouble.
Do not put your whole confidence in what you own. 1 John 2: 16-17 tells us, “For all that the world can offer us, the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance, none of these things come from the Father but from the world. This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever.”
There is nothing wrong with having an abundance of material things. It is only when the whole confidence of your life stems out from the strength of it that you have to pay heed lest it become a snare to you.
Money is not the root of all evil, but the word of God in 1 Timothy 6:10 tells us that, “..the love of money is the root of all evil..” Money may take you to all the countries of the world, but you can never go to Heaven with it.
What has taken centre place in your life?
Review your life with Jesus Christ as the Master and owner of all that you own and all that you are.
Let Jesus Christ be the confidence and strength of your life, and your life will have the assurance, meaning, and joy that you can find in no other.
Everybody shouted, “AMEN HALLELUJAH!”
Sabbath Shalom and good morning.
