Beloved Saint of God Most High,

“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies” (Proverbs 31:10).
Who could ever find a virtuous wife like this one. She is a woman of strength and mighty valour! She is full of wealth and wisdom.
The price paid for her was greater than many jewels.
NARRATIVES OF A TRUE MOTHER
A Christian mother is the greatest heritage God can give a man.
Motherhood is a partnership with God.
The best hand is a mother’s hand. The best embrace is a mother’s embrace.
The best friend is a mother’s friendship. The best caregiver is a mother.
The best teacher of values – mother. The best milk, mother’s milk.
The best voice in the home, mother’s voice.
The best food, mother’s food. Oh mothers! You are great!
Motherhood is an experience to be treasured by every woman.
It is not a burden as some portrayed but a God-given privilege and responsibility.
Beloved not every woman with a child or children can be regarded as a true mother because some women became mothers by accident of nature.
Some are mothers without knowing what motherhood is all about.
A real mother is known by the selfless virtues she manifests.
A real mother is a nurse, teacher, instructor, architect, counsellor, trainer, and home manager.
Saints of God, a true mother is the sunshine of her home, lighting all within her domain. She stands out as the lifeline of the family.
She is full of strength and courage to fight every battle.
She is also full of compassion, love, and mercy.
TRUE MOTHERS IN THE BIBLE
The bible which is our compass through life’s journey is replete with examples of true and godly mothers.
Moses’ mother
Moses’ mother took care of her son, who was born at a time when a decree was issued that every male child of the Israelite must be killed.
This was under the oppressive rule of Pharaoh in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 1 and 2)
Mary the mother of Jesus
Mary, the mother of Jesus, stood by her son through thick and thin.
Mary stood by to witness and share in pains and suffering of her son. (Matthew 12:49)
The Syrophoenician woman
She came to Jesus on behalf of her daughter who was severely demon possessed. (Matthew 15:22)
This woman, a real mother had undaunted faith in the God of miracles.
She passed the greatest test put forth to her by Jesus our Lord. (Matthew 15:23-24)
The Syrophoenician Greek woman endured all that was involved to get her daughter delivered and healed and she got it. (Mark 7:26-30)
A MOTHER’S INFLUENCE
A mother plays a very active role in the life of every member of the family. Her influence has a far-reaching effect.
A mother is a determining factor for the joy, peace, happiness, and progress of the entire family.
The impact mothers wield on the children is very great whether it is positive or negative.
It is not out of place to say that a woman is the person behind the “steering wheel” of the husband and children in the home.
A mother tactically directs and controls the entire atmosphere of the home.
A communist once said, “Give me a child until he is 7 years and I care not who takes him later.”
If heathens can be so resolute about child’s training, how much more should Christian mothers!
Mothers must be deliberate in their training efforts and strive to leave cherishable legacies for their children’s future.
MOTHERHOOD
Just think of its blessings, joys, sorrows, challenges, and triumphs.
There is no greater anguish than the broken heart a child may cause.
“A mother’s love is the nearest thing on earth to God’s love, so said John Todd (a volunteer for Jesus).
May the Lord God Almighty bless all our mothers in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Everybody shout a loud and resounding, “AMEN & AMEN!!!!!”
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
