THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

But each one’s work will be shown for what it is; the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire — the fire will test the quality of each one’s work. If the work someone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward…….” (1 Corinthians 3:13-15).

The work of each one will become plainly and openly known and shown for what it is; for the day of Christ will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.

Christ Jesus is our peace. The sins of yesterday, by His most precious blood are washed away.
Christ Jesus is our life. The trials of today, He bears for us who walk life’s toilsome way.
Christ Jesus is our hope. The future all unknown is in His care who watches from the throne.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY THE PHRASE “THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST?”

The Judgement Seat of Christ is also known as the “Bema” judgement of Christ. It is not really a judgement as such, but a time of evaluation and test. It is a day when the believers’ works will be tested for quality.

In the judgement seat of Christ, saints will receive their respective crowns and rewards in regard to their works for the Lord. The judgement seat of Christ is not to determine a believers’ eternity, but the quality of his or her service to the Lord.

All the services or works will pass through the fire (1 Corinthians 3:11-15). Apostle Paul used the metaphors of gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay and straw to elaborate on the believers’ quality of work for Christ. Jesus our Lord will on that day judge the merits of His servant’s work (2 Corinthians 5:9-11).

The Things To Be Evaluated
How much we suffer for Christ (Matthew 5:11-12 / 10:29-30 / Romans 8:18 / 2 Corinthians 4:17 / 1 Peter 4:12-15).
How we run the race which God has chosen for us (1 Corinthians 9:24 / Philippians 2:16 / 3:13-14 / Hebrews 12:1) – run the race with endurance.

How adequately and effectively we control our fallen old nature (1 Corinthians 9:25-27).
How we effectively employ our God-given abilities (1 Corinthians 12:4, 11 / 2 Timothy 1:6 / 1 Peter 4:10).

How godly and righteously we use our money (1 Corinthians 16:2 / 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 / 1 Timothy 6:17-19).
How faithful we are to the word of God and the flock of God (Acts 20:27-28 / 2 Timothy 4:1-4 / 1 Peter 5:2-4).

How much the teaching and doctrine of rapture means to us (2 Timothy 4:8).
How we treat our fellow believers (Hebrews 6:10/Matthew 10:41-42).

Let’s remain faithful to the divine assignment bestowed upon us for God’s glory!

Somebody shout, “SO HELP ME GOD!

Shalom and good morning.
