A BELIEVER’S PORTRAIT IN A DYING WORLD

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Therefore if any person is ingrafted in Christ the Messiah, he is a new creation and new creature altogether; the old previous moral and spiritual condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

A BELIEVER’S PORTRAIT IN A DYING WORLD
Mere church attendance or bearing a Christian name or being born into a Christian family does not make one a Christian.

Eschewing ostentatious lifestyle or giving alms and offerings and keeping to moral principles do not make a person a believer.

A true believer’s life is characterised by genuine repentance from sin through an unforgettable encounter with Jesus Christ.

A true believer is a changed person (2 Corinthians 5:17) who is committed to Jesus Christ and His cause.

A true believer denies self, and lives dying daily to fleshly desires and carnal ambitions. (Galatians 5:24)

To be able to wield any positive influence in our corrupt financial world, we must be true believers in every respect. Let us check our spiritual state if we are outside the kingdom or inside.

If we are outside, then hear what the Spirit of the Living God is saying now. Come! Come now!! Come for cleansing!!!

A BELIEVER’S ROLE IN THE DYING FINANCIAL WORLD
As believers, we are accountable to God for the lives we live and for whatever we do with the talents He has given to us. We are a chosen generation….. (1 Peter 2:9)

We need to organise ourselves as professionals to reach out to others. The present economic situation of the world is a pointer to the fact that the systems of this world are passing away. We must lift Jesus up to the dying world, for He will surely draw men to Himself.

This can be done by identifying:-
Problem areas in the financial profession. E.g: distress in banks, collapse in financial institutions, liquidations of viable companies, loss of jobs.

Strategies for reaching out:
Organising breakfasts, lunch hour fellowships,
talks, seminars on how to overcome temptations on the job, living by examples toward colleagues, customers and those we come in contact with, and rendering free professional service as and when we find the opportunity. May God in find us faithfulness.

If we live by the Holy Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Everybody shout, “PRAISE THE LORD!

Shalom and good morning.
