“A CHRISTIAN’S SELF-ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE IS BASED ON GOD’S WORD”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“So don’t throw away that courage of yours, which carries with it such a great reward. For you need to hold out; so that, by having done what God wills, you may receive what he has promised.” (Hebrews 10:35-36)

So don’t lose your bold, courageous faith, for you are destined for a great reward! You need the strength of endurance to reveal the poetry of God’s will, and then you receive the promise in full.

A CHRISTIAN’S SELF-ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE

Prophet Isaiah declared: In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.

Confidence is moving on a firm foundation. Confidence is a plant of slow growth. Look back with gratitude and forward with confidence.

What is self-esteem? Self-esteem is the same as self-respect, faith in oneself, self-assurance or self-regard.

What is self-confidence? Self-confidence is the same as aplomb, nerve and poise.
Self-esteem and self-confidence belong to one family and both have the same parents.

A Christian’s self-esteem must be based on God and His infallible word. God’s word has characteristics and our self-esteem must be based on the characteristics of God’s word.

Psalm 19:7-9 declares some of the characteristics of God’s word.

God’s word is perfect, converting the soul.

The Testimony of the Lord Is Sure
God’s word is right.
God’s word is pure.
God’s word is clean.
God’s word is true and righteous.
God’s word is sweeter than honey.

A Christian’s self-confidence must be based on God’s attributes. In Psalm 145:8-11, the attributes of God are as follows:
The Lord is gracious
Full of compassion
Slow to anger
Great in mercy
Good to all
Abundant in love
Glorious in holiness
Righteous in all His ways

You are destined to victory and triumph in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
