RESIST & PUT TO DEATH THE SINFUL NATURE OF FLESH THROUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Thus, those who identify with their old nature cannot please God.” (Romans 8:8)

So then those who are living the life of the flesh, catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature, cannot please or satisfy God or be acceptable to Him.

Sinful nature demonstrates the human flesh with its corrupt desires. Those who follow and obey the dictates of flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
Therefore, we must resist and put to death the sinful nature and the works of flesh through spiritual warfare by God’s grace.

THE ACTS OF SINFUL NATURE (Galatians 5:19-21)

Adultery: This relates to the immoral sexual conduct of married people.
It is the sexual relationship of married people outside their marriage union (Exodus 20:14 / Matthew 5:31-32).

Fornication: This is an illegal and immoral sexual relationship between unmarried people. Boys and girls, men and women.
Impurity: This includes evil deeds / vices, including thoughts and desires of the heart (Ephesians 5:3 / Colossians 3:5).

Lewdness/debauchery: This includes sensuality, following ones’ passion and desires to the point of having no shame or public decency (2 Corinthians 12:21).

Idolatry: This relates to the worship of graven images / spirits / individual persons, and trusting in any institution or anything having equal or greater authority than God Almighty (Colossians 3:5).

Sorcery: This includes witchcraft / demon worship. Any use of evil power to facilitate spiritual experience is sorcery (Exodus 7:22 / 8:18).

Hatred: This relates to intense hostility and it is an act of extreme enmity and dislike.

Contentions: This is antagonism/unnecessary debate and quarrellings.
A struggle for superiority complex (Romans 1:29 / 1 Corinthians 1:11 / 3:3).

Jealousy: This relates to envy over others’ success and progress (Romans 13:13).

Outburst of wrath: This depicts a fit of rage that flames into a violent act.
It is explosive anger that creates room for evil words (Colossians 3:8).

Selfish ambition: It relates to selfishly seeking for power and position (Philippians 1:16-17).

Dissensions: This depicts divisive attitude and behaviour.
It is the act of causing divisions in order to destroy the fabric of peace and cohesion (Romans 16:17).

Heresies/factionalism: This depicts dissidence, selfish group, or cliques that destroy the unity of the church (1 Corinthians 11:19).

Envy: This relates to resentful hatred of others who may possess the good qualities one desires.

Murder: An act of killing, exterminating, and destroying other people’s lives and characters.

Drunkenness: This relates to damaging hindering/harming and injuring ones state of mind through alcoholic drinks.

Revelries: This is an act of saturnalia and orgies. A party spirit of debauchery and excesses.

Those who practice all these are far from the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:21).

Crucify the flesh and be led by the Spirit in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Shalom and good morning.
