“MAY YOU BE PROTECTED FROM WHISPERERS!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“A deceitful person stirs up strife, and a slanderer can separate even close friends.” (Proverbs 16:28)
A perverse man sows strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.
*WHISPERERS* (Psalms 41:7-13)
Who is a whisperer:
A whisperer is a person who speaks secretly or spreads unfounded and vicious rumours to besmear somebody. The Hebrew word for “whisperer” is“nirgan” pronounced as (neer-gawn), meaning a talebearer, slanderer.
The Greek word for a whisperer is “psituristes” pronounced as (psithoorstace) meaning a secret calumniator.
Putting the Hebrew and Greek meaning of whisperer together, one can understand that a whisperer is a:
Talebearer, Slanderer, a secret calumniator, accused falsely and maliciously by making untrue statements.
FUNCTIONS OF A WHISPERER
They seek to hurt and cause pain and agony to their victims.
They slander and assassinate people’s character.
They represent evil in nature both in principle and in attitude.
They talebear untrue and unfounded stories cooked up by them.
They always send vicious and malicious rumours to deceive the simple mind.
Their tongue devises destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. (Psalms 52:2)
They love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking righteousness. (Psalms 52:3)
They speak softly but devouring words with a deceitful tongue. (Psalms 52:4)
NATURE OF A WHISPERER’S WORDS
The words of a whisperer are smoother than butter, but war and jealousy are always in their heart. (Ps 55:21)
The whisperer’s words are softer than oil, yet they are words that draw swords. (Ps 55:21)
The whisperer twists words against the innocent. (Ps 56:5-6)
The whisperer sharpens their tongue. (Ps 64:3-6)
WHAT IS THE WHISPERER LIKE?
They are like the poison of a serpent.
They are like the deaf cobra. (Ps 58:4-5)
May you and your household be protected from the wicked poison of the whisperers in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Somebody shout, “HALLELUJAH AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
