WALKING AND LIVING BY FAITH

Saints of God Most High, “hear God’s word for you today:

By trusting, we understand that the universe was created through a spoken word of God, so that what is seen did not come into being out of existing phenomena” (Hebrews 11:3).

By faith we understand that the worlds during the successive ages were framed, fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

WALKING AND LIVING BY FAITH
To walk in the Spirit is to walk by faith and not by sight. The natural man likes to go by what he sees. This is the distinction between a believer and an unbeliever of Christ.

The unbeliever goes by the impulse of what appeals to him. He yields to the suggestions of his eyes, his flesh and the desires of his heart.

He obeys the devil at the instance of his bidding. His life revolves around the physical. To him, “seeing is believing”. He says, “If I see it, I’ll believe it.”

He knows nothing about the life of faith. To an unbeliever, faith is foolish. What he cannot see, handle or feel makes no sense to him. However, a believer walks by faith.

Those of us in this generation and the immediate past were not physically present when Christ died on Calvary.
If we had to see Him on a cross before we could believe, we would never be born again.

If we had to see blood dripping from His hands, feet and sides before we could believe, we would not repent of our sins.

But “we having the same spirit, according as it is written, I believed and therefore have I spoken; we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13).

The salvation of our souls only follows after we confess our belief in the Lord. The heart of faith confesses Christ’s death on the cross, His substitutionary sacrifice and His ability to take away all sins.

The reason some people do not have the assurance of salvation is because they are waiting to feel saved. Salvation is not by feeling, but by faith. Some are waiting to hear the audible voice of Christ saying, “I have forgiven you, I have washed away your sins.”

They are not ready to take God at His word. “We look not at the things which are seen but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

For we live by faith, not by what we see with our eyes.

Somebody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!

Shalom and good morning.
