“WONDERFUL SCRIPTURAL PORTRAIT OF JESUS”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah!’ and they will lead many astray. You will hear the noise of wars nearby and the news of wars far off; see to it that you don’t become frightened. Such things must happen, but the end is yet to come” (Matthew 24:5-6).
For many will come in on the strength of My name appropriating the name which belongs to Me, saying, I am the Christ the Messiah, and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
THE SCRIPTURAL PORTRAIT OF JESUS
There is a green hill far away, without a city wall, where the dear lord was crucified, who died to save us all. As the resurrection opened the grave, the ascension opened heaven.
Therefore peace rules the day when Christ rules the soul.
The headlines of newspapers round the world since the beginning of this year, seems to be reporting the end time prophecies of the Bible.
Wars / rumours of war / earthquake in different places / nation rising against nations / diseases sweeping from nation to nation and perplexity of world population.
The question is where do we go from here? Who do we consult and what shall we do?
Let us turn to Jesus for the answers. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus our Saviour and Lord is an unchanging changer. He changes our situation from worst to best yet He remains the same.
There are many portraits of Jesus Christ in the galleries of the world. Some of these so-called portraits are hopelessly confusing and misleading while others are conflicting and contradicting the real person of Jesus Christ.
We need the real Christ not the Christ squeezed into the philosophers box of hypothesis.
We do not need a watered-down Jesus stripped of His power and strength. We do not need a glory debased or symbol reduced Christ.
We do not need a Christ made impotent at the scholastical surgery table. Jesus our Lord asked His disciples a simple question…(Matthew 16:13-15)
Peter the apostle, spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!” (Matthew 16:16-17)
“JESUS IS CHRIST THE MESSIAH!”
Shalom and good morning.
