“THE DIVINE CALL AND OUR RESPONSE”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Therefore fear Adonai, and serve him truly and sincerely. Put away the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve Adonai!” (Joshua 24:14)
Now therefore, reverently fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; put away the gods of greed, avarice, immorality, covetiousness, anger, falut- finding, mud-slinging, assassination of character and the gods of this world etc. But serve the Lord, Adonai Yahweh, for your good.
THE DIVINE CALL AND OUR RESPONSE
One with God is a majority.
A Christian is free but not free to sin.
It costs nothing to become a Christian, but it costs everything to be a Christian.
A Christian should aspire to do the will of God, nothing more, nothing less and nothing else.
Our Almighty God has different ways of calling His servants. In the bible, one can easily see that God used different methods to reach out to different individuals in their respective calling.
TEN BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF GOD’S CALL
- Abraham was called by God through a divine visitation (Genesis 12:1-5, 7).
- Joseph was called by God through a divine dream (Genesis 37:5-11).
- Moses, the prophet of God, was called by God through an audible voice in a burning bush (Exodus 3:1-12).
- Aaron was called by God through his brother Moses (Exodus 4:13-17).
- Joshua, the assistant of Moses, was called by God through Moses (Exodus 17:9-15).
- Gideon was called by God through an angel (Judges 6:11-17).
- Samuel was called by God through God’s audible voice (1 Samuel 3:4-13).
- David was called by God through Prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 16:1, 10-13).
- Paul was called by God through a vision encounter on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:1-6).
- Timothy was called by God through the preaching of Paul the Apostle and also by Timothy’s godly upbringing (1 Timothy 1:1-2 / 2 Timothy 1:1-2, 5).
WHEN YOU HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD, DON’T HARDEN YOUR HEART!
Somebody shout, “AMEN HALLELUJAH!”
Shalom and good morning.
