SAINTS OF GOD, START INTERCEDING TO BRING ABOUT SPIRITUAL AWAKENING!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we praise the name of Adonai our God. They will crumple and fall, but we will arise and stand erect. Give victory, Adonai! Let the King answer us the day we call.” (Psalms 20:7-9)

Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. They are bowed down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright. O Lord, give victory; let the King answer us when we call in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Interceding saints must pray:

  • As mothers, seeing a dying child
  • With burden and fervency
  • With boldness and confidence
  • With perseverance
  • With faith that cannot be denied
  • In the Spirit.

With these challenges, every Christian should engage in this rewarding and noble ministry of intercession.

Intercession helps to bring about spiritual awakening in homes, churches and entire nation. How can we win souls if we are not given to the intercessory ministry?

How shall we reach hardened sinners who permeate our communities, families, towns, prisons, markets, business world and offices?

How can we reach the illiterate and the sophisticated without intercession? We have a great task and the only weapon at our disposal is intercessory prayer.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE INTERCESSORY MINISTRY
(Isaiah 52:11 / Isaiah 22:4 / Matthew 9:36-38 / James 5:16)

  • Intercession, especially for hardened sinners, is a serious spiritual business hence the Almighty God requires a high and holy standard of living if we are to be used for people’s liberation andreal freedom.

THE INTERCESSOR MUST:

  • Be born again and daily live in righteousness. (John 3:3 / Galatians 5:22-23 / 2 Timothy 2:19-21)
  • Have a thorough knowledge of God’s word. (Ephesians 2:1-3 / Romans 3:10-23 / Luke 16:19-31 / Ezekiel 22:30 / Luke 19:10 / 2 Peter 3:9)
  • Identify with the people you intercede for. (Ezra 9:5-15 / Romans 10:1-3 / Daniel 9:3-19)
  • Be full of compassion and have a burden for lost souls. (Romans 9:1-3 / 10:1-2 / Ezekiel 9:4)
  • Possess a pleading heart. (Psalms 126:6 / Exodus 32: 30-32)
  • Be consecrated and committed to the intercessory ministry. (Isaiah 22:4 / Galatians 4:19 / Acts 20:22, 24 / Romans 10:1)
  • Be aggressive in prayer against Satan and demons that bind sinners. (Jude 23 / 2 Timothy 2:26 / 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 / Isaiah 49:24-25)

God has called us to be intercessors and we must respond. The weapons of intercession cannot fail. Prevailing prayers cannot fail. We must intercede without ceasing.

MAY GOD FIND US FAITHFUL IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN (LAMENTATIONS 3:22-24)

Everybody shout a loud, AMEN & AMEN!

Shalom and good morning.
