The Word
FRIDAY MANNA 18 OCTOBER ‘24

“SET YOUR MIND ON THE HEAVENLY REALM, WHERE CHRIST DWELLS!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“So if you were raised along with the Messiah, then seek the things above, where the Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God. Focus your minds on the things above, not on things here on earth…” (Colossians 3:1-3)
Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection, too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honour, and authority!
Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ.
Personality has the power to open doors but character is what keeps them open.
Reputation is what people say we are but character is what God knows of us.
Life is a comedy to a thinker and a tragedy to an emotional, but victory to a believer.
WE MUST AVOID THE SPIRIT OF JAUNDICE
- We must avoid jealousy (Proverbs 27:4 / James 3:13-16).
- Jealousy leads to distrustfulness and dubiousness.
- Jealousy produces the spirit of jaundice.
- We must not gossip or listen to gossip (Proverbs 26: 20-26 / 11:13).
- We must not meddle in other people’s matter.
- Do not be an uninvited guest to other people’s family problem (Proverbs 26:17-19).
- We must give God’s word priority (Psalms 119:97-103).
- We must defeat Satan’s wickedness with God’s word.
- We must realize the authority and power in God’s word.
- We must minister with compassion, unconditional love and acceptance, speaking truth in love (Ephesians 4:25).
- We must always remember that what God has for us is unprecedented (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).
- We must not bring a case against a believer to the court of law without first going to the saints (1 Corinthians 6:1-3).
- A Christian couple (husband and wife) must not deprive each other of their necessary physical needs unless there are health issues or because of spiritual matters like fasting (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).
- We must not seek only our own interests but other people’s well-being too (1 Corinthians 10:23-24).
- We must pursue love and also desire spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 14:1).
- Remember, we may be cast down but unconquered (2 Corinthians 4:7-10).
- We must always see the invisible so as to do the impossible (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
- We must walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).
- We must not do anything to bring reproach to the ministry (2 Corinthians 6:3).
BE CHRIST-LIKE IN ALL THINGS FOR GOD’S GLORY IN JESUS’ NAME!
Everybody shout, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
