A BELIEVER’S SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

For although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the very first principles of God’s Word all over again! You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who has to drink milk……..” (Hebrews 5:12-13).

For even though by this time you ought to be teaching others, you actually need someone to teach you over again the very first principles of God’s Word. You have come to need milk, not solid food.

For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, for he is a mere infant not able to talk yet!

A BELIEVER’S SPIRITUAL GROWTH
Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow. Every growth that is not towards God is growing towards decay.

Therefore, every person must do his / her own growing regardless of how tall his / her parents were.

Every sincere and concerned pastor must have the desire and vision for church growth. But make no mistake about this; church growth is more than the number of members. An essential element of church growth is the spiritual growth of the individuals.

Remember, individuals cannot grow in a church without a growing pastor. Therefore, the spiritual growth of a pastor and an individual in a church is indispensable for the church growth.

LET US TAKE OUR TEXT (ACTS 19:1-20)
Paul at Ephesus (Acts 19:1-7)
Paul met twelve disciples at Ephesus and led them into another spiritual experience – spiritual growth.

(Verses 8-9) Pastoral ministry of Paul the apostle. Teaching, preaching, counselling and praying also contributed to the spiritual growth of those disciples that he met.

(Verses 10-12) Results of spiritual growth of those disciples. All those who dwelt in Asia heard the word of God. Healing and deliverance ministry followed and Ephesus became a centre of gospel influence in Asia.

(Verses 13-20) The disciples grew spiritually and many disciples were added to the church and the word of God grew mightily and prevailed. The church at Ephesus with twelve disciples experienced a tremendous growth.

Do not forget that Apollos had been at Ephesus before Paul the apostle arrived, still the church did not grow. Why?
Because we cannot lead people to the height where we ourselves had not been.

(Acts 18:24-26) Apollos himself needed to grow spiritually before the church could grow.

DESIRE GROWTH IN YOUR SPIRITUAL WALK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE.

Shalom and good morning.
