KNOWING A PERSON’S GREATNESS!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

But you, as a man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faithfulness, love, steadfastness, gentleness.” (1Timothy 6:11)

As for you, O Servant of God, flee from all these errors but aim at pursuing righteousness, right standing with God and true goodness. Godliness, which is the loving fear of God and being Christlike, faith, love, steadfastness, patience, and gentleness of heart.

KNOWING A PERSON’S GREATNESS

  • You do not need to be big or popular to be great. A person who is truly great is one who will take more than his share of the blame and less than his share of the credit. Nothing can be truly greater than people talking less of their greatness in follies.

  • The greatness of a person is not found in his or her position but in the “PERSON”.
  • Many people want to be great, but not realizing what makes one great. The truth is that your person is much more than your leadership.

  • It is better to seek to be a good and great person than to be a great leader. Your person is made of your character and value while your leadership may be evil and valueless.

  • Your person is who you are (Genesis 4:3-7 / 1 Samuel 16:6-7, 18 / Matthew 25:21, 26-27). Your person is your makeup, constitution, values, inner being, what you are capable of doing, what you pursue, and what you flee from.

  • Your person can be good or bad. You can be mean, evil, wicked, ungodly or you can be kind, loving, merciful, just and godly. It is all in you. It is the person of Cain that God Almighty rejected but accepted the person of Abel before their sacrifices.

The Person In You:

  • Your person is much more important to God than what you do for Him. Your person will tint, shade or colour whatever you are doing.

  • Your person determines the kind of people you attract and the environment you create.
  • Your person determines the kind of leadership you provide. Your person will determine how you relate and get along with others.

  • Your person also determines if your sacrifices will be acceptable or not. Your person will hinder you from greatness in God’s estimate. You must first be a good person before becoming a great leader.

  • God measures a person by putting the tape-rule on his or her heart rather than your service. Remember, you are a blessed of the Lord God.

Somebody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!

Shalom and good morning.
