“PURSUE A TESTIMONIAL LIFE WITH HONESTY AND GODLY SINCERITY”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For we take pride in this: that our conscience assures us that in our dealings with the world, and especially with you, we have conducted ourselves with frankness and godly pureness of motive — not by worldly wisdom but by God-given grace. There are no hidden agendas…” (2Corinthians 1:12-13)
We rejoice in saying with complete honesty and a clear conscience that God, Adonai Yahweh, has empowered us to conduct ourselves in a holy manner and with no hidden agenda. God’s marvellous grace enables us to minister to everyone with pure motives, not in the clever wisdom of the world. This is especially true in all of our dealings with you.
We write to you with words that are clearly understood, and there is no need for you to try to read between the lines of what we write in hopes that you can completely and accurately understand our hearts.
Teach me, Lord, to keep sweet and gentle in all the events of life.
In disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others. In the insincerity of those I trust.
In the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied.
O Lord, help me to learn from my mistakes and to be strong in Your counsel.
WE MUST LIVE A GODLY TESTIMONIAL LIFE
We must not use flattering words to deceive the innocent (1 Thessalonians 2:5-7).
We must not be a burden to others (1 Thessalonians 2:9).
We must conduct ourselves in a godly manner (1 Thessalonians 2:10-12).
We must not be shaken by afflictions (1 Thessalonians 3:3-4).
We must be sanctified and abstain from sexual immorality (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
We must not take advantage of others (1 Thessalonians 4:6-7).
We must aspire to lead a quiet life (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12).
We must not be ignorant of the rapture and the coming of the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
We must know that the day of the Lord is at hand (1 Thessalonians 5:1-5).
We must not sleep or be in slumber (1 Thessalonians 5:6-8).
We are not appointed to God’s wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10).
We must recognize those who labour for the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).
We must encourage the brethren (1 Thessalonians 5:14-15).
We must rejoice always (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
“A TRUE CHRISTIAN’S LIFE IS A LIFE FULL OF GODLY TESTIMONIES.”
Shalom and good morning.
