“LEAN ON THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD TO OVERCOME ALL ADVERSITIES!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“On seeing that, he got up and fled for his life. When he arrived in Be’er-Sheva, in Y’hudah, he left his servant there; but he himself went a day farther into the desert, until he came to a broom tree. He sat down under it and prayed for his own death. ‘Enough!…’” (1Kings 19:3-4)
Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.
Elijah was afraid and arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba of Judah [over eighty miles] and out of Jezebel’s realm and left his servant there.
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a lone broom or juniper tree and asked that he might die. He said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers.
Are you tired of life and wish you could die, because the pressure of your particular situation is like that of Elijah, who was fleeing from Jezebel after she had slain all the prophets and vowed to kill Elijah? (1 Kings 19:3-4).
Do you see yourself at the end of the world and that life has no more meaning because of the agony and hardship that you are going through?
If you identify with all these situations, then listen to what Proverbs 24:10 has to say, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.”
If you fail in these times, you have trouble or are dragged down by the pressure of what you are facing, then your strength is small.
It shows that your ears and eyes are so wide open to the lies and deceptions of the enemy during times of difficulty, that you have accepted the enemy’s words and admitted defeat instead of enforcing the victory that Jesus has won for you on the cross of Calvary.
Isaiah 53:4 tells us, “Surely He has borne our griefs, sicknesses, weaknesses and distresses and carried our sorrows and pains of punishment, yet we ignorantly considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God as if with leprosy.”
BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!
Somebody shout, “HALLELUJAH AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
