“IS YOUR TONGUE CONTAMINATED?”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“Therefore, my dear brothers, let every person be quick to listen but slow to speak, slow to get angry; for a person’s anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness!” (James 1:19-20)

Beloved saints, take this to heart: Be quick to listen, but slow to speak. And be slow to become angry, for human anger is never a legitimate tool to promote God’s righteous purpose.

IS YOUR TONGUE CONTAMINATED?
There is so much power and influence in your words. Use your tongue rightly to bless the Lord, to bring your sacrifice of praise to Him, to preach the gospel, to pray for others, to bring cheer and comfort, to bring words of guidance and counsel, and to bring encouragement to build bridges between relationships.

If you are too quick to pronounce judgment, criticize, or gossip about people or situations of which you have no knowledge or received those pieces of information, be extra careful. Satan is out to destroy you.

Beloved, do you see yourself as a vessel that can bring glory and honour unto the name of the Lord? Then place everything that is brought into your hearing to the feet of the Lord. Ask the Lord how He can use you in that particular situation to bring peace, unity and love.

Pray for the people concerned and for a special touch of the Lord upon yourself that you do not cross bounds that will cause shame to the Lord and to your witness.

If you find your heart harbouring bitterness, hatred and resentment and resulting in a judgmental attitude towards someone in your life, watch your tongue.

If your life has been getting further and further away from the Lord whom you love with your whole heart and you do not know where things went wrong, watch your tongue.

Finally keep yourself from every kind of godless chatter and irrelevant conversation that will crush your spirit, grieve your heart in regret, pollute your praises to the Lord, and hinder your prayers.

Dedicate your tongue to the Lord asking for a daily cleansing upon you so that your life will be a testimony for Jesus to others.

Desire holiness in all your words for God’s glory in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Somebody shout, “SO HELP ME GOD!”

Shalom and good morning.
