“WHY THE RIGHTEOUS SUFFER”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“The righteous person suffers many evils, but Adonai rescues him out of them all. He protects all his bones; not one of them gets broken. Evil will kill the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned……..” (Psalm 34:19-22)
Many evils confront the consistently righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.
Evil shall cause the death of the wicked; and they who hate the just and righteous shall be held guilty and shall be condemned. The Lord redeems the lives of His servants, and none of those who take refuge and trust in Him shall be condemned or held guilty.
WHY THE RIGHTEOUS SUFFER
Suffering can sometimes be a design for learning. A believer’s sufferings can be a means for repentance. Out of suffering come the strongest souls.
God’s wounded often make his best soldiers.
Therefore, let us not be the troop that kills its wounded. Saints of God, pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
You go through many trials, but the Lord is your strength. You are attacked by the devil, but the Lord is your shield. You are wearied, still the Lord is your helper.
You are cast down but not crushed at all. You are afflicted by the devil, but the Lord is your healer. You are pushed so hard, but the Lord is your fortress.
SAINTS OF GOD HEED:
Faithfulness to God does not secure or assure believers liberty, deliverance or freedom from trouble, pain and suffering in their lives. As believers we must expect and anticipate trouble, pain and suffering in this world (John 16:1-4, 33).
The Holy Bible is filled with godly and righteous people who experienced great amounts of suffering for a variety of reasons.
Some Biblical Examples Of Individual Sufferings:
Joseph (Genesis 37) suffered in his brothers’ hands. He was sold to Egypt and suffered in the hands of Potiphar’s wife (Genesis 39). He was imprisoned for no just reasons (Genesis 40).
David suffered in the hand of King Saul for no just reasons also (1 Samuel 18 / 19).
Job suffered tremendously in the hand of Satan for his uprightness and blamelessness (Job 1 / 2).
Jeremiah suffered conspiracies and condemnation in the hands of the Israelites for his stand for God in godliness, righteousness and blamelessness (Jeremiah 18:18-20 / 20).
Daniel, Abednego, Meshach and Shadrach also suffered for their belief in God Almighty (Daniel 3:15-20 / 6:15-17).
Paul the Apostle suffered many things due to the conspiracies of the Jews (Acts 23 / 24).
The Early Church also suffered a lot for their faith too.
YOUR VICTORY IS HERE IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!
Sabbath shalom and good morning.
