Dear beloved,

A faithful and trustworthy steward must complete what he or she has begun. If you know you cannot continue what you have started, do not start it. When you abort the ministry which you have begun, people will get hurt. The same thing goes to leaders who decide to resign from the department that they are serving. When you resign from where God had placed you, you are giving the signal that God has made a mistake in placing you there. Next, you are also indirectly saying that you know better than God. Moreover, the people whom you are leading will be hurt and disappointed.

It is easy to say that you want to resign, but know that you are causing hurts, wounds and disappointment among the brethren. You may leave the church to go to another, but the same action often repeats itself. These believers are unstable and they usually find fault in every church that they attend. Seek to improve and do not be stagnant. Many people are stagnant in their giving although they are receiving increments yearly. Do not neglect the area of giving as you seek to progress in all other areas of your life. Challenge yourself to have a covenant with God by purposing to give a pledged amount yearly unto the Lord which is apart from your tithes and offerings. Be a faithful and trustworthy steward; finish what you have begun, fulfil your promise, for there is value in completing what one has begun.

Yours for the kingdom of God,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
