WOW – 29 APRIL 2026: TO PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD (CONT’D)
Senior Pastor Daniel O. C. | Apr 29, 2026
Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!
TO PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD (CONT’D)
EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL SHALL BE BROUGHT LOW
Every pride and arrogance will be dealt with. All boastful attitudes must be eradicated.
Self-sufficiency characters must be eliminated. All self-righteousness must be leveled to make way for the King of kings.
No divine fellowship is granted to the haughty and high-minded sinners.
Humble yourself (James 4:6, 10 / 1 Peter 5:5-6).
The Lord our God loves and respects the lowly in the heart.
The good Lord will always visit the contrite in heart but the proud and arrogant will stand condemned before Him.
We must prepare the way of the Lord as instructed by proclamation.
It was the custom in the East to send a party of men before a king or prince’s arrival to prepare the way.
These men clear the way of thorns, brambles and bushes.
They make bridges and level the ground where necessary to make it normal for travel.
Here, we apply these principles figuratively for our hearts’ preparation for King Jesus’ coming.
CROOKED PLACES MUST BE MADE STRAIGHT
The crookedness in us must be made straight for the glory of God.
The wavering heart must be straight with God in order to receive answers to prayer (James 1:6-8).
Our hearts must have a straight path of decision for God and His attributes of holiness.
We must avoid the character of indecisiveness (Joel 3:14).
Double-minded people will continue to be strangers to the Almighty God.
They will also be strangers to God’s blessings and to the Commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:19-22).
ROUGH PLACES SHALL BE MADE PLAIN
- Stumbling blocks of sin must be eliminated.
- All thorns and rebellion must be discarded.
- All wickedness must be uprooted.
- We must go through and build up for the glory of God (Isaiah 62:10).
- The Bible declares, “Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth” (Isaiah 40:4).
WHEN THE HEART IS PREPARED, THEN WILL THE GLORY OF THE LORD BE REVEALED! (Isaiah 40:5)
May the Lord make a triumphal progression through the utmost boundaries of our soul from the beginning of the year even to the end of it!
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
