ASSURED SUCCESS IN COMPETITION

Saints of God Most, hear God’s word for you today:

To these four boys God had given knowledge and skill in every aspect of learning and wisdom; moreover, Dani’el could understand all kinds of visions and dreams. When the time the king had set for them to be presented came, the chief officer presented them……..” (Daniel 1:17-20).

God imparted insight and skill in every aspect of literature and science to the four Hebrew men. Daniel also had the unique gift of interpreting every kind of supernatural vision and dream.

At the end of the period that the king had assigned for their training, the chief of the palace servants brought them to Nebuchadnezzar’s court. The king interviewed them all, and among all the young men, he found none to equal Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. So, the king chose them to serve as his advisers.

And when the king questioned them on any point of wisdom or understanding, he found them ten times superior to all the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.

ASSURED SUCCESS IN COMPETITION
Success is the foundation for upliftment.
Success is God’s promise to us, but we must work for it.

Preparation always precedes a success, but the future belongs to those who prepare for it. Success may be assured, but future can only guarantee one thing and that is, “anything can happen”. Therefore, hold on to your success lest it slip off your hands.

It is always God’s will for us to succeed.
It is God’s perfect will for us to have success in any competitive venture.
God Almighty has planned for our breakthrough in all our selective processes.

Daniel 1:3-9, 17-20 / Exodus 31:1-3, 6
Beloved saints of God, in the above portion of the scriptures, there is a direct competition between God’s people and the heathen. The people of God won the competition because they trusted in God and humbled themselves before God.

The record of Daniel’s success story in the foreign land, strange idolatrous land of Babylon should pose a serious challenge to us as believers in Christ Jesus.

We stand a better chance of succeeding more than Daniel the Prophet because we have the manifold grace of God upon us.
We must not shy away from asking our merciful God for an outstanding success in all our life’s endeavours (Matthew 7:7-8 / Mark 11:24 / John 14:13-14 / 15:7-8 /16:24 / James 1:5-8).

What was the secret of Joshua’s success? (Joshua 1:5-8) God gave instructions to Joshua and he obeyed.
Then God honoured him (Joshua 4:14).
The Lord will magnify and honour you before the presence of your peers and bosses as he did to Joshua, the son of Nun.

You need to spend time in preparation.
Preparation precedes blessings. We need to prepare ourselves physically and spiritually. We need also to learn to manage our expectations. Our expected success must be handled with humility, prayer and commitment to God (2 Timothy 1:12 / Psalm 37:4-5).

Shalom and good morning.
