DO NOT BE PARTAKERS OF OTHER MEN’S SINS

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

…when you so hate to receive instruction and fling my words behind you? When you see a thief, you join up with him, you throw in your lot with adulterers……” (Psalm 50:17-19)

Seeing that you hate instruction and correction and cast My words behind you discarding them? When you see a thief, you associate with him, and you have taken part with adulterers. You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.

PARTAKERS OF OTHER MEN’S SINS
Many people are secretive in their dealings with their lives plagued with underhanded deeds. The general impression they give to the public is the direct opposite of the very substance they are made of.

They “cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence” (Matthew 23:25).

As believers, we must be very careful and avoid friendships that are not based on truth, sincerity, honesty and agape love. Any association which borders on ungodliness, greed and avarice must be shunned.

Partnership, which pats sin on the back, should be abhorred. There are many ways in which a true believer can get entrapped in the sins of others. He may not be directly involved but to aid, abet, support or give tacit approval to the sinful practices of others is against God’s will.

Some people do not worship idols but they give verbal, moral or financial support to those involved with it. They may not worship idols but their words and actions support idolaters. This is sinful.

If you agree to be a linkman or a go-between of an adulterer and his/her sinful partner, by way of arranging a place for them to meet, you are equally guilty in the sight of God.

Some people do not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol but can produce or buy them for others. A medical staff member who helps an abortionist destroy innocent children also makes himself / herself a partaker of the evil of abortion.

Before Apostle Paul was converted, he was an avowed persecutor of the people of God. When the first martyr of the early church was stoned to death, he gave his full support. Although he did not pick up a stone against Stephen, he encouraged those who killed him.

After his conversion to Christ Jesus, he admitted his complicity in murder. Acts 22:20 say, “And when the blood of Your witness (martyr) Stephen was shed, I also was personally standing by and consenting and approving……”

Believers and saints of the living God, we must be careful of what we do or say, otherwise the good Lord would charge us as accomplices in other men’s crimes. “My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. (Proverbs 1:10)

Be careful!” says the Lord of Hosts.

Shalom and good morning.
