“QUIT FROM FEAR & PURSUE FAITH”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Therefore, proclaim to the people ‘Anyone who is anxious or afraid should go back home, while we stay here on Mount Gil‘ad.’ Twenty-two thousand returned, but ten thousand remained” (Judges 7:3).
Announce to your men, All who are trembling and afraid, hurry back home and leave Mount Gilead! So twenty-two thousand went back home, and only ten thousand stayed with Gideon.
In the above portion of the scripture we see thousands of people with Gideon turned back from their earlier decisions because of fear that came upon them. A large number of people more than half of Gideon’s army were under the bondage of fear. They were beset with the paralyzing force of fear.
You may pray, consecrate and dedicate yourself for God’s service but the moment you allow fear to come in, be sure that you will fail God.
You may promise God that you will work for Him and stand for His righteousness and divine truth in your life, office, home, family and everywhere but the moment you allow fear to gain entrance into your heart, surely you will disappoint God. Fear makes believers to turn their back to God.
Remember Peter the apostle, it was fear that made him deny the Lord Jesus Christ thrice. There are many people who know that it is the will of God for them to worship the Living God, yet fear has robbed them that.
There are people who know absolutely well that it is the will of God for them to get saved, still fear has claimed that from them. There are people who know pretty well that it is the will of God for them to forsake their sinful wicked and evil ways still they chose not to forsake those ways.
There are other people who know that it is the will of God for them to make restitutions and restoration for what they have done wrong but the paralyzing force of fear keeps them from doing the revealed will of God.
Beloved saints of God quit from fear and pursue faith and righteousness and it shall be well with your soul. Many people have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ because of fear of persecution and opposition from their parents and relatives.
Some people have also missed God’s best in marriage because their relatives would not agree with them over God’s choice.
Some people have compromised their faith due to fear because they want to please their friends. (Gal 1:10 / Prov 1:10)
Many people have engaged in illegal relationships with their bosses or office superiors due to fear of losing their jobs.
Have you disobeyed God because you are afraid of being ridiculed by your unbeliever friends and peers?
Fear is a dangerous weapon against faith, therefore eliminate it from your life in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Somebody shout, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
