My dear Friend,
You do not know me* yet but you will soon meet me. Definitely. Here I am to announce to you that you are going to walk hand in hand with me everyday for the coming months and days. I am yours. I am yours totally, the whole year, all twelve months, every day, every hour, every minute, every second of the day. Yours! Truly yours! I know you don’t want to believe me but it’s true! Soon you will find me dawning into your life.
My time with you will be only twelve months but you can impact history greatly, make a great difference to mankind as you walk with me. What you make of me totally depends on you – your plans, your decisions and your actions. While you walk with me remember:
• Lay all your burdens, cares, problems in your heart at the feet of Jesus even before you start walking with me. Now is a good time to “Cast all your cares upon Him…. ” (1 Peter 5:7).
• Shift your focus from man to God. Move from the natural to the supernatural. Begin to see with the eyes of faith and vision of God (Psalm 121:1).
• Be ever conscious of the unfailing presence of God with you and around you even in the darkest hour. (Isaiah 43:1-2)
• Cast aside boredom in your relationship with the Lord – that’s the killer to your spiritual life. Ask for wisdom, for a renewed mind to read God’s word and apply it meaningfully and with determined strength of mind have a change of attitude, commitment and consecration of your life (Ephesians 4:23).
• Down the road, when you can’t seem to “take off” in the direction or the time you want, wait for the perfect timing of God. Know that He is in the process of perfecting you to what He wants you to be. Though you can’t see what you will be, or what is happening to you through the trials working in you, rest assured that His eye never misses those who trust their lives and situations to Him (James 1:2-4).
• A growing baby needs plenty of milk, food and water at regular intervals to grow. A baby not fed will die of starvation. Your spirit life needs to be fed with the word of God, prayer and praying in tongues. If not it will die and you may not even know it. So feed, feed, feed it – constantly. Feed it continually (Ephesians 6:18).
• The Bible can never be exhausted by someone looking for encouragement, comfort, answers, wisdom and counsel. Look with a hungry, desperate and needy heart – you will always find your answer there (Psalm 119:103, 162, 130).
• As you ‘crossover’ to walk with me let it be a new start. Adopt a new order of life where faith and belief in the Lord is your lifestyle for then your eyes will be able to see yourself triumphing over the ‘giants’ (Numbers 14:30).
• “Quit”, “give-up”, “surrender”, “defeat”, “walk-off”, “revenge”, “retaliate”, and many more – are vocabulary that the devil and demons feed into your mind to compel you to forsake your place of calling, responsibility, consecration and commitment. Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7, 1 Peter 5:8-9). Each time you hear ‘them’ recognize its source and bring it captive to the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Have a joyful heart of praise and thankfulness, rejoicing in all you go through knowing the Lord goes before you, His power is upon you, His Holy Spirit leading and guiding you. With the Lordship of Jesus Christ over every area of your life, you will find your walk with me victorious.
• Always learn to submit to the Lord. Submit to His authority. Sumbit to His word. Submit to His instructions and you can never go wrong.
• I will be seeing you soon.
