NECESSITY OF A NEW LIFE

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Indeed, what will it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life? What could a person give in exchange for his life?” (Mark 8:36-38)

For what use is it to gain all the wealth and power of this world, with everything it could offer you, at the cost of your own life? What could be more valuable to you than your own soul?

NECESSITY OF A NEW LIFE

Religion can offer a man a burial service, but Jesus Christ offers every man new, abundant and everlasting life.

God has always longed to have fellowship with man. God has much love for man even though man treasures it not. Man was made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27)..

This love of God for mankind afforded man the privilege of having fellowship with God. This divine fellowship enabled us to enjoy the divine presence of God Almighty until the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.

With the fall in the Garden of Eden, man fell out of the favour with God. A great barrier came up between man and God.
The result is that man became dead in sins and trespasses (Ephesians 2:1).

Man began to walk according to the course of this world (Ephesians 2:2). Man began to fashion his life according to the lust of the flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind.

The offspring of man also became “by nature the children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3).
Also as a result of the fall and loss of fellowship with God, darkness covered the whole of humanity. Man was without the presence of Christ and God Almighty in the world (Ephesians 2:12).

Today, natural man is still groping in darkness, confused as to how to regain the lost glory and fellowship without which he can never make it to heaven. To escape eternity in hell, man must regain that lost glory. He must undergo a spiritual transformation.

But the power for such a transformation cannot come from within us. Our self-righteousnes, good behaviour, good deeds and moral conduct can never give us acceptance before God, because they are just filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6).

We can only gain acceptance and access to God the Father though Jesus Christ the Son of the living God (John 14:6 / 1 Timothy 2:5-6). For there is only one God, and only one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

Somebody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!

Shalom and good morning.
