“WILL YOU BE CAUGHT UP IN THE RAPTURE?”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels, and with God’s shofar; those who died united with the Messiah will be the first to rise; then we who are left still alive will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air……..” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive will join them, transported together in clouds to have an encounter with the Lord in the air and we will be forever joined with the Lord.
WILL YOU BE CAUGHT UP?
“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” (Matthew 24:42)
The Rapture and the Second Coming are not the same events.
Rapture is Christ’s coming FOR the saints, while the Second Coming is Christ’s coming WITH the saints.
The rapture was a great mystery to the Old Testament saints and prophets, but God underlined this great event in two different ways in Scripture to assure us of its certainty.
Genesis 5:24 tells us about Enoch. “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.” Enoch’s righteousness resulted in him being spared from physical death, affirming God’s power over death.
Elijah was the only other person to share this experience. In 2 Kings 2:11,12, we read about Elijah: “…suddenly a chariot appeared with horses of fire and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”
Both Enoch and Elijah were living saints who never tasted death but were translated in a moment and caught up in the air.
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ Himself was taken up too. In Acts 1:9-11, “Now, when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up to heaven. This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.’”
Beloved, prepare to be “RAPTURED AND NOT RUPTURED!”
Sabbath shalom and good morning.
