“BE AN HONOURABLE VESSEL FIT FOR THE MASTER’S USE”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“Nevertheless, God’s firm foundation stands, stamped with these words: ‘The Lord knows his own,’ and, ‘Let everyone who claims he belongs to the Lord stand apart from wrongdoing.’ In a large house there are dishes and pots not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay. That is, some are meant for honorable use and some for dishonorable………..” (2 Timothy 2:19-21)

The firm foundation laid by God stands, sure and unshaken, bearing this seal and inscription: The Lord knows those who are His, and, Let everyone who names himself by the name of the Lord give up all iniquity and stand aloof from it.

But in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also utensils of wood and earthenware, and some for honourable and noble use and some for menial and ignoble use.

So whoever cleanses himself from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences will then himself be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.

To the righteous, call on Adonai Yahweh in the day of your trouble; He will deliver you, and you shall honour and glorify Him.

But to the wicked, God says: What right have you to recite My statutes or take My covenant or pledge on your lips, Seeing that you hate instruction and correction and cast My words behind you discarding them?

Remember, the Lord is God, the living God, the everlasting God, Who rules in the kingdom of men to protect His own for His glory.

Everybody shout, “PRAISE THE LORD!”
