“PLACE OF PRAYER IN THE CHURCH”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Then Yeshua told his talmidim a parable, in order to impress on them that they must always keep praying and not lose heart.” (Luke 18:1)
Also Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up.
PLACE OF PRAYER IN THE CHURCH
Prayer makes the Christian’s armour bright but Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees.
It is strange that while praying, we seldom ask for a change of character but always a change of circumstances.
None can pray well but he who lives well.
Therefore, keep praying, but be thankful that God’s answers are wiser than your prayers.
The days of God’s power demonstration in the church are the days of mightiest prayers. (Matthew 16:18)
Prayer was the backbone of Jesus’ ministry and also the early church (Acts 6:4). The early church was powerful and explosive for Christ because of prayer. The disciples were able to turn the then world upside down because prayer was their priority.
They did not put prayer as a secondary issue, rather they gave it maximum priority
(Acts 3:1). Peter and John went up to the temple to pray (Acts 4:31). When the apostles had prayed, the place where they assembled together was shaken (Acts 6:4). The apostles gave themselves to prayer.
(Acts 9:11) Saul of Tarsus was met praying.
(Acts 10:9) Peter went up to the housetop to pray.
(Acts 12:5) Peter was imprisoned but constant prayer was offered to God on his behalf.
(Acts 13:1-3) The church at Antioch fasted and prayed.
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ desired that prayer be made a top priority in our personal lives. Prayer edifies us. Prayer removes selfishness and self-centeredness.
Prayer shapes us up for heavenly use.
Every Christian believer who really desires spiritual growth must cultivate the prayer ministry and activate prayer life. Spiritual growth will not be effective and powerful without a strong prayer base.
Revival and church growth is not possible without an adequate prayer foundation.
Prayerlessness will lead to pretences, lip service and warfare defeat.
Saints of God Most High, let us Pray Until Something Happens and that’s PUSH!
Everybody shout a loud, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Sabbath shalom and good morning.
