WOW-28 February 2024: DIVINE GOODNESS UNCEASING
Senior Pastor Daniel O. C. | Feb 28, 2024
Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!
If you will be all God wants you to be, then you can do all God wants you to do.
God never commands and commissions without providing grace to obey.
In order to mould his people, God often has to melt them.
It is by no means pleasant when reading an interesting article in a magazine to find yourself pulled over with the phrase “To be continued”. Still, these are words of cheer if applied to other matters.
What a comfort to know and to remember that the Lord’s mercy and loving kindness is to be continued.
It is true that we have experienced God’s mercy and loving kindness all these years of our pilgrimage, still we have by no means outlived the eternal love of God.
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord” (Psalms 27:13-14).
Providential goodness is an endless chain, a stream which follows the pilgrim and a wheel perpetually revolving.
Divine goodness of God is like a star forever shining and leading us to the place where He was once a babe in Bethlehem.
Saints of God, do not forget that all the volumes which recorded the doing of divine grace are but a series to be continued.
Beloved, we have to get our own soul saved first before we can save our neighbour.
To do this, we must not have a spirit of criticism.
We must always put on Christ in order to attract others to the hearing of God’s Word. (Romans 13:14)
If you truly want your neighbour to know what Jesus will do for him or her, let your neighbour first see what Jesus has done for you.
Your example of love and grace will then point the unbeliever to the Saviour Who loved the world and gave Himself for it.
“To God our Saviour, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever Amen” (Jude 1:25).
LET US DRAW NEAR TO BLESS THE LORD FOR:
- His patience with us
- His presence
- Compassion for the sinners
- Loving kindness
- The plan of redemption
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
