“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you” (Exodus 12:2).

Dear worshipers of the Most High,

While we are still in the first month of 2024, let me wish all of you a happy new YOU!

Here in the twelfth chapter of Exodus, the Lord instituted the Passover just before the final plague – the slaying of the firstborn. The Lord declared to the people this shall be the beginning; it shall be the first month. Similarly, at salvation, the Lord declared to us our “beginning and first month”. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). To have a fresh start, let us not carry over the hurts, wounds, frustrations, unforgiveness, guilt, disappointments, failures, fear, mistakes and regrets of 2023 and before into 2024. Never permit anyone to drag us back to yesteryears’ pains when the Creator God Himself declares and proclaims over us at our salvation, the beginning of a life of future, hope and abundance (Jeremiah 29:11, John 10:10). Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies (Romans 8:33). Beloved saints of God, in 2024, walk according to the Spirit and walk with chest up and your head lifted up – go and possess all that God has for His people (Obadiah 17).

Fellow new creation, our reference point is not the first man, Adam, but the last Adam, Christ Jesus, who declares to the old order “it is finished!” Therefore, let us steer the rudder of our tongue and the meditation of our heart aright. We are a new creation – a glorious version 2.0 after the last Adam (Colossians 1:27)!

In 2023 and years past, you might be shy to speak about Jesus to anybody, but in 2024, you shall be a soul winner!
In 2023 and years past, you may be timid and fearful, but in 2024, you shall be bold like a lion!
In 2023 and years past, you might be weak and sick, but in 2024, you shall be renewed in strength!
In 2023 and years past, you might often be “out of luck”, but in 2024, you shall be overtaken by blessings!

Version 2.0 YOU, through our Lord Christ Jesus, this shall be true of you in 2024:

I will cast my net and harvest the multitude of souls (John 21:6).
I am more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).
I will speak to the mountains and they shall move (Mark 11:23).
I will call those things which do not exist as though they did (Romans 4:17).
I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10).
I will flatten the walls of Jericho with the great shout of victory unto our Lord (Joshua 6:20).
I will slay every Goliath sent my way (1 Samuel 17:51).
I will walk on the dry ground of my Red Sea (Exodus 14:22).
I will sing because the once barren one, now has abundance (Isaiah 54:1)
I will fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12).
I will see the salvation of the Lord (Exodus 14:13).
I will see the prodigal sons and daughters run home (Luke 15:17-24).
I will do what Jesus did and greater works I will do (John 14:12).
I will rule and reign as a king and a priest (Revelation 5:10).

May the truth of this new man in us lead you to your land of milk and honey in 2024.
