Beloved Mother, Daughter of the Living God,

Today you are celebrated as special, loved and appreciated. Mother, Daughter of the Living God, joy, happiness, sadness, grief, regret or sorrow, whatever be your outward circumstances what is the true state of your heart today? Yours is a role that has many responsibilities and often you can be wearied, powerless, frustrated, exhausted, discouraged and helpless. What can you do? Look at Hannah from the Old Testament. Provoked, mocked, tormented, laughed at, Hannah wept not having any child. She went to the house of the Lord, greatly troubled, in deep distress, in anguish, prayed to the Lord and wept before Him. Hannah did not broadcast her trouble, looking for comfort to any person or a shoulder to cry on but prayed only to the Lord. She called upon the LORD of hosts, LORD of armies of Heaven, who always has victory and presented her plea: “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will GIVE him to the LORD ALL the days of his life, and NO RAZOR shall come upon his head.” What a fear of the LORD! How about you Beloved mother and daughter of the King? When did you last seek the face of the Lord sincerely with a desperate cry from your heart? Hannah’s cry was specific and she was willing to give back what the Lord gave to her. There was no guarantee that she would have another child. “After I see another child, I will give you this first one” was not her vow but “…You give me a male child then I will give him to You.” What dedication, devotion, persistent faith and trust in the Lord, sacrifice and giving to the Lord! Mother, Is that your kind of heart? Can it be found true of you? Hannah fulfilled her vow for when a male child was given to her, she gave him back to the Lord.

There is only one place where you can truly find meaning, unceasing joy, honor, respect, strength, power and life – in the presence of the Lord. Hannah did exactly that. She did not quit or give up though her outward circumstances pressed against her. Hannah did not complain, speak ill of anyone, turn against the Lord or become bitter in her time of trouble.  She persevered in the presence of the Lord keeping her eyes fixed upon the LORD, THE LORD OF HOSTS knowing that the Lord whom she had trusted would bring the definite answer to her prayer as vs 18 says, “So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.” After you present your case to the Lord do you still keep an unhappy long face, carry your trouble back with you, let the whole world know that you need help and feebily try to help yourself?
The Lord is your help in trouble. Call unto Him and be assured that He will answer you for the Lord God is faithful to hear your cry and answer you! Beloved Mother, Daughter of the Living God, the Living God is ever with you. Like Hannah be a godly example, walking in the fear of the Lord. Be a woman of strength in the day of pressure. Be unshakeable, deeply grounded in the Lord and having a strong relationship with Him which grows everyday for you are to birth and raise many Samuels, God’s anointed men and daughters strong in the Lord like you. The Lord bless you in Jesus’ name amen!

In the blessed love of Jesus,
Sister Elizabeth Daniel
